When I met Beth she had significant wear on the inside of her upper front teeth, which had left her teeth very thin and weak on the tips.

This made Beth feel very self-conscious of their appearance, and also she was concerned about their lack of strength as they kept chipping and getting shorter.

The solution we settled on together involved dental crowns for her front six teeth as these were the most significantly affected. As you can see, both Beth and I were delighted with the final result.

Andrea didn't like her chipped and discoloured teeth which had resulted from a previous accident. She wanted a permanent fix using traditional methods. After discussion we whitened Andrea's teeth and then put dental crowns on her two front teeth in give her the most natural looking result.

Serena did not like it that she had one large discoloured cap on her front tooth that was wider and longer than the other. She was particularly conscious of it in photographs. We whitened Serena's teeth and discussed dental crowns on the discoloured tooth. However in order to get the proportions correct we both agreed to replace her crown and conservatively prepare the adjacent tooth in order to balance her smile without having to open "gaps" between her teeth.

Treatment: Porcelain Veneers "I have never been someone into cosmetic  work. Rather reluctantly and after much persuasion (from family and friends) I agreed to have veneers and the other work completed by Dr. Matt. I am now enjoying all the compliments about my "new front teeth" and it is nice to have a smile back.  Really pleased with the result and the knowledge that there was a great dental team available to check and monitor the outcome of the work and now to maintain it with regular cleans and check ups."

Robert came to us with chipped, thin and discoloured teeth from gradual "wear & tear". He wasn't particularly conscious of aesthetics as changes had happened very gradually over time, however friends and family had begun to make subtle and "not so subtle" comments. We veneered his front four teeth, giving Robert back as much length as possible, reducing the aging effect of shorter front central teeth relative to the ones beside them. We also whitened his teeth (this process occurring before his porcelain veneers were made up in order to do the best colour match on his veneers, and give him a natural looking result).

Sara hated the markings on her front teeth. She felt she had a gummy smile and her "matching" teeth were of different lengths. She wanted to improve the look of her teeth with as little intervention as possible. After considerable discussion Sara opted to have a gum recontouring using our advanced laser technology, which in itself did wonders to bringing balance and harmony into the proportions's of her teeth. It also meant that we only had to do six porcelain veneers rather than the planned eight (thus making her treatment less invasive). It also had the advantage of reducing her "gummy" smile.

Anne 

In Anne's words:

"With very discoloured teeth, old composite fillings that were breaking down and a smile that did not show all my teeth due to recession I talked to Dr. Matt about cosmetic dentistry...

What we did:

Anne’s teeth were tipping inwards and had collapsed upon themselves. This made it difficult to see her teeth around the edges when she smiled, and gave a sunken affect to her lips and cheeks. Anne was very nervous, and concerned about achieving a very natural result.

The solution we agreed on involved her receiving three dental crowns, eight porcelain veeners and two bridges. This helped to improve appearance, stabilise tooth movement and gives her a much wider smile that fills out her facial contours.

Anne did not want teeth whitening, but we used our laser to improve the symmetry of her gum line in the front, where more tooth length was required. The results speak for themselves.

Jo 

In Jo's words:

"I have only praise for Dr. Matt and his team. They worked miracles on a mouth which suffered from years of neglect, poor dentistry and smoking. My non existent bite has been restored and my chipped, stained teeth replaced with some which are far superior, and subtly shaded to look natural. Perhaps it is because it has been cleverly done I am getting lots of comments on how well I am looking, but perhaps it is because I have learnt to smile openly again."

We needed to open Jo’s bite to strengthen and prevent her from breaking any more of her back teeth, which up until then had been a significant problem. Opening her bite allowed us to create space in which we could do the cosmetic work she desired at the front of her mouth.

Jo wanted a very natural aesthetic. Overall we gave her a full mouth reconstruction, including 13 dental crowns, 12 porcelain veneers and 1 bridge. Minor laser was used to improve gum symmetry.

Because of the signifant amount of dental work required, we worked collaboratively to plan a staged approach incorporating long-term temporaries. This ensured Jo was comfortable with the new bite height of her back teeth throughout the process.
